What Audium is
Your music, direct to listeners.
Audium is a listening platform. When you publish on Audium, your music is available to people using Audium not Spotify, not Apple Music, not any other service.
We are not a distributor. We are not trying to replace DistroKid. We are building a direct relationship between creators and the listeners who find them on Audium.
What Audium is not
Not a distributor
We do not send your music to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, or any other store.
Not a label
We do not sign artists. We do not own your music. We do not take a cut of your rights.
Not a replacement for DistroKid
You can keep using your existing distributor. Audium and your distributor serve different purposes.
Not a DSP aggregator
Audium is its own platform. Analytics you see in the creator portal are Audium-native only.
Version 1 Beta
What is available right now.
Direct upload
Upload audio and artwork straight to Audium without a label or distributor.
Albums & releases
Create albums, upload tracks, set the track order, manage your catalog.
First-party analytics
See plays and lookups for your tracks directly from Audium.
Rights-based publishing
You confirm your rights. You keep ownership. Audium only hosts and streams.
No label required
Any independent creator can apply for access and upload directly.
Free during beta
Upload access is currently free while we build out the platform.
Not in V1
Honest about what is still being built.
We would rather be honest about what V1 is than oversell it. The following are not currently part of the Audium creator platform.
Creator monetization / revenue sharing
Distribution to Spotify, Apple Music, or other stores
DSP analytics from external platforms
Advanced audience demographics or geography
Automated chart tracking or industry reporting
Guaranteed exposure or algorithmic promotion
Ownership
You keep your music. Always.
Uploading to Audium does not transfer ownership of your recordings, compositions, artwork, or any other intellectual property. You grant Audium only the rights necessary to operate the platform nothing more.

AI Policy
Our position on AI.
AI training
Audium does not intend to use creator uploads to train generative AI models or sell uploads for AI training purposes.
AI-assisted music
Audium does not automatically ban music because AI tools were involved in its creation. Creators remain responsible for having the necessary rights to their submitted material.
Mass-generated content
We don't want the platform flooded with low-quality mass-generated content. Audium may use moderation, reporting, and quality controls to address this.
AI disclosure
Audium may introduce disclosure categories such as human-created, AI-assisted, or AI-generated as the platform evolves.
