No. Audium is the listening platform itself. You upload directly to Audium and your release becomes available to Audium listeners. We are not replacing DistroKid or any other distributor. External distribution to Spotify, Apple Music or other stores is outside the scope of V1.

DistroKid and Audium serve different purposes. A distributor gets your music into external stores. Audium is building its own listening platform and creator relationship. You can continue using your existing distributor while also publishing to Audium when you have the rights to do so.

No. Audium is designed for independent creators to publish directly without needing a traditional label.

You do. Uploading music to Audium does not transfer ownership. You grant Audium only the permissions necessary to host, process, stream and operate the content on Audium.

Audium does not intend to use creator uploads to train generative AI models or sell uploads for AI training. Uploading grants Audium only the permissions necessary to operate the service, subject to the Creator Terms.

You must have the necessary rights or authorisation to make the music available on Audium. If a label, co-writer, producer, publisher or distributor controls relevant rights, make sure your agreement permits the Audium release before uploading.

Audium is not trying to ban legitimate AI-assisted creativity, but we don't want the platform flooded with mass-generated content. Creators must have the rights to uploaded material. AI-assisted disclosure may be introduced as the platform evolves.
